We believe it is important for students to pursue interests to find what they are passionate about. We give them exposure to a range of exciting opportunities that help develop students’ creativity, passion, personal skills, leadership and teamwork.
Performing Arts is about developing individual creativity, confidence and self-expression and it promotes a sense of wellbeing for our students. It plays such an important part in our educational experience here at Assumption, and we are lucky enough to have specialist teachers whose role is to nurture and guide these gifts and talents. Students have the opportunity to participate in public speaking, choir, music, dance, drama and the school band.
The Assumption School offers a wide range of sporting and physical activities as part of the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education curriculum. Sport plays an important role in a young person’s development. The Assumption School offers many opportunities for students to participate in sport both within and outside the school. Students can pursue a range of interests through lunchtime activities such as robotics, gardening club, choir, dance, chess and wellbeing groups. Throughout each year we provide enrichment opportunities at school or that can be accessed at home for students across English, Mathematics and Creative Arts.
Our students benefit greatly from school trips where they are able to link their classroom learning with the outside world. These experiences not only lead to deeper understanding, but are also wonderful opportunities for students to develop independence, grow in faith, form strong friendships and make life-long memories.
